High Mowing Seeds, August 2010

It was a beautiful Sunday that Green Mountain Crop Mob had the chance to visit High Mowing Seeds.  Though it threatened to rain in the late afternoon, we had lots of time to weed, dead head flowers, and get the show gardens ready for the High Mowing Annual Field Day (to be held the following weekend.) We also picked several varieties of carrots and did a taste test, rating each type for flavor, sweetness, and mouth feel. It was incredible to experience the diversity of all those different types of carrots! What we didn't eat was delivered to the New England Culinary Institute.  Thanks again to the staff at High Mowing for hosting the mob!
